The Loon Nest: Cozy Downtown Apartment

Excellent location, in short walking distance to restaurants and shops. Private parking spot. Close to entrance to Acadia. Be aware that it is 3 stories, 3 sets of stairs inside the apartment, if stairs are an issue for you. Bed and shower on the 3rd floor.

The condo is within walking distance to everything! Communication/check-in was a breeze. Washer/dryer and reserved parking spot right in front were amazing. Would definitely recommend.

This property is conveniently located in walking distance to all of downtown Bar Harbor, which we really appreciated. Parked the car in the provided spot and walked wherever we needed to go in town. The pictures of the property are pretty accurate. While this space was comfortable for two of us, I’m not sure how good it would be for more than 2. Kitchen was functional and reasonably well stocked. We used the washer and dryer once and they worked fine. As I mentioned, the pictures accurately reflect what is there - the furniture is generally older, especially the bed. Could definitely do with an updated mattress. Overall, we appreciated the convenience of the location as well as having the full kitchen to do some cooking on our own.

This rental unit had some great stuff going for it, but also a few things it could definitely improve on. I'll highlight both:Plusses: - Great location and parking. You can drive in, park easily, and then enjoy all of Bar Harbor on foot. This makes enjoying this area very stress free. - Having a dedicated master suite upstairs is really nice, and a full kitchen and living room downstairs is awesome - The bird themed decor is so whismical and fun. Our whole family enjoyed it so much. - Being able to refresh our laundry in the unit was super convenient.Minuses: - The pull out sleeper sofa is VERY uncomfortable. We've stayed at a number of VRBOs with sleeper sofas and our who family agreed that this one was the worst. After the first night, we opted to just pull the mattress onto the floor and forego the sleeper-sofa plan. It was more work but worth being able to actually sleep. - The drinkware provided in the kitchen was lacking. There were only a couple of water glasses and one (cracked) wine glass. All said, it was a nice spot to stay, but could be made quite a bit nicer with a few small improvements.
